ETHICS
At Besler Group, our primary goal is to establish a fair and honest working system with the strength we draw from our past, aiming to maintain the reputable image of our businesses. We make every effort to sustain this culture of integrity in all areas of our existence and to promote the spread of this culture in collaboration with all stakeholders we work with. As employees of Besler Group, we are responsible for maintaining healthy and safe interpersonal relationships and the healthy and safe continuation of work in accordance with laws and ethical rules.
In this context, we are obliged to act in accordance with ethical rules and working principles with all our employees. In all operations under the Besler Group umbrella (records, documents, reporting, etc.), we are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and legality of the information provided. We act in accordance with all written regulations, procedures, instructions, collective agreements, etc., published in our businesses. Employees of Besler Group comply with the principles of truthfulness, honesty, equality, and independence in relationships with laws, regulations, and principles issued by associations, organizations, etc., in which membership is held. Any kind of commercial, professional, and technical information learned by our employees due to their work and duty is considered "confidential."
Our employees do not manipulate, alter, destroy, or eliminate company reports or records. Besler Group employees do not share with third parties any information that may be contrary to the interests of the company, such as financial data, employee information, salary information, sales and marketing strategies, acquired technological information (know-how), dealer operations, customer information, etc. Employees of Besler Group do not have any relationship, direct or indirect, that may benefit competitors, suppliers, customers, or any other company with which business is conducted.
In relationships with third parties, employees maintain distance and behave moderately. Employees do not accept or make gifts, hospitality, or other gifts that may affect the company's preferences and decisions. In case of any offer of bribery or similar payments to employees in any way, the recipient rejects the offer. Employees do not offer bribes to any person, company, or public institution in the course of their duties. Employees do not borrow money or enter into a guarantor relationship with suppliers, customers, or third parties with whom they have business relationships in any way related to their duties.
Besler Group employees do not appropriate money or documents and securities or other goods entrusted to them for any reason related to their duties. In case of giving/receiving gifts, employees act in compliance with the specified criteria; gifts with a value of €30 and above are reported to and reviewed by the management. Employees do not take on roles or responsibilities in any political party or politically oriented association, and they do not establish connections with political organizations. Besler Group companies do not provide financial or moral support to political parties, political organizations, politicians, representatives of such groups, or candidates, either directly or indirectly. In these matters, employees do not engage in demonstrations, propaganda, or similar activities within the workplace, and company resources are not allocated to any political activities in any way (vehicles, computers, emails, etc.).
Employees of Besler Group do not engage in club activities or associations operating in discriminatory, religious, or contrary to societal benefit areas. In communication with suppliers, customers, or other third parties representing Besler Group, employees do not engage in discrimination or actions that may lead to misunderstanding based on race, color, gender, nationality, religion, age, marital status discrimination, mobbing, insults, threats, violence, sexual offers, or other words, etc. Discrimination in written and verbal communications is avoided. Besler Group employees are not under the influence of any substance (alcohol, drugs, etc.) that may affect job performance or endanger workplace safety during their time at work.
Announcements, developments, notices, etc., related to Besler Group and its companies are provided by Corporate Communication, Marketing, or Human Resources. Unsolicited disclosures regarding the company, brand, or activities are strictly prohibited. Failure to report ethical violations and attempting to cover them up is considered as blameworthy as unethical behavior. SOCIAL COMPLIANCE
At Besler Group, we have adopted the principle of acting in every stage of production and management by focusing on our employees. Our social compliance policy includes standards based on our fundamental principles and values in collaboration with all our business partners. Our goal is to make all these standards mentioned within the Besler Group a company culture. In all our activities based on International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the United Nations Global Compact, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, SA 8000 Social Responsibility/Compliance Standard, and national laws, we do not employ anyone under the age of 15, adhering to the prevention of child labor.
For young workers continuing their education, we support the internship system
to help university and high school students gain professional experience and work culture. In the hiring process, employee selection, and throughout the employment process, we consider compliance with company rules and social compliance conditions as necessary and important criteria, committing to equality among equals; policies preventing discrimination and harassment-ill-treatment will be valid in processes such as remuneration, performance, and employment contracts; we commit to ensuring regular employment and social security for employees.
We pay attention to the voluntary nature of employment, never employing workers under any conditions, adhering to the principle of voluntarism in overtime work, and committing not to use illegal practices such as physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment and the confiscation of original identity documents, passports, etc. We pledge not to employ workers based on contracts, debt-based, illegal, forced, or unwilling labor; not to apply practices such as illegal practices such as taking extra hours of work to compulsory overtime, and to comply with the principle of voluntarism.
To ensure the health and safety of all our employees, we prioritize creating a safe and healthy working environment, aiming to minimize any potential loss. We integrate legal regulations and occupational health and safety culture into our work, improve occupational health and safety practices effectively according to technical developments and innovations, adopt a proactive approach in all activities, ensure the participation of all employees in occupational health and safety practices, and adopt a working system that prioritizes the general health of employees. We respect the right of our employees to join a union and the right to collective bargaining, allowing employees to represent themselves freely and democratically through employee representatives. Prevention of Discrimination
We make every effort not to discriminate based on age, gender, race, religion, language, descent, ethnic and national origin, social class, sexual orientation, belief, marital, social or economic status, disability, political opinion, participation and membership in union activities, family responsibilities, illness, pregnancy, or military service status among employees, and to avoid negative classifications, demeaning, discriminatory, and aggressive expressions in written and verbal communications.
We provide a working environment that is based on the peace of the working environment and the happiness of the employees, treating all employees with respect and honor, committing not to impose corporate punishment; not to allow verbal, physical, psychological harassment, pressure, threat, or coercion. Working Hours
We determine working hours in a way that is dignified for humans, taking into account the principle of efficient work, based on current laws and obligations, adhering to the principle of voluntarism in overtime, and ensuring that overtime working hours comply with legal periods and customer standards. Wages and Payments
We make payments for normal and overtime work that are regulated by laws and collective labor agreements, do not pay wages below the minimum wage, provide social benefits specified in the collective labor agreement to employees, determine and pay the minimum wage that employees will receive at a level that can meet the minimum living standards in the region where we operate, and commit to constantly improve these conditions. Environmental Protection
We aim to manage environmental impacts responsibly, prevent and reduce environmental pollution at its source based on environmental dimensions and impact assessments, use natural resources such as energy, water, etc., efficiently through continuous improvement efforts, and minimize our impact on the environment by applying environmentally friendly policies and standards in all our operations. Supply Chain Management
We measure the social compliance capacities of all supplier companies, subcontractors, and business partners that provide products/services and obtain compliance commitment letters. We track the results with action plans and gradually increase the levels of social compliance. We support a collaborative approach for continuous improvement efforts. Ethical Business Conduct
Under no circumstances do we accept the giving, receiving, or proposing of bribery, corruption, and/or commissions. We guarantee that we will act within the determined and announced Besler Group Ethics Principles on behalf of the company management and all our employees. Submission of Wishes and Complaints
We pledge to establish a suitable working environment by evaluating and providing feedback on the wishes and complaints of each employee in a timely and effective manner. We guarantee that there will be no retaliation against the employee who reports wishes and complaints.
